A13 Thames Gateway DBFO - Prince Regent Lane Underpass
The new dual three lane underpass was constructed to take all A13 Newham Way traffic under the existing junction at Prince Regent Lane. The slip roads will provide access between the A13 and Prince Regent Lane. Seperating through traffic from local traffic which will substantially improve traffic for pedestrians and cyclists.
Chiplime were awarded the diaphragm wall removal works using the Elliott Method at the earlier stages of the improvement works. The walls were constructed by others using the Bentonite Slurry Method. Due to the successful completion of these works Chiplime were awarded further work including pile demolition, general concreting works to parapet walls and gantry boxes for the new footbridge and supplying skilled and unskilled labour on the other major junctions of the project..
